Getting my craft on....

I have felt out of place the truck pulls are over and I have the whole winter to MORN. I hate to admit it but I love to be a "RED NECK" on the weekends with Dubb. So today I went Michael's to get Halloween paper and this is me getting my craft on

 Sorry
about the picture I took it with my phone and you can't see it very good, but I love the bright Halloween papers. I just love Halloween decorations.

Brigham City Temple

I was so lucky to have the opportunity to go with My Sister to the Brigham City Temple open house. It was amazing. We had the 8 am time to go. As we walked up to the temple our usher told us we had the best time to view the temple. He said that when the sun comes over the mountain and shines on all the glass, we will need sunglasses in the temple. He was so right all the glass and chandeliers were so blinding with light it was enough to take your  breath away.  The temple theme was "Peach" Blossoms and there was blossoms everywhere you looked.

My Sister as she walked up to the front of the temple.

See the round windows they are all peach blossoms. They planted apple trees and peach trees on the temple grounds.
I am truly thankful for the blessings of the temple and the special feelings My Sister an I had as we entered in the Lord's house.

R & R cont

Our last day was spent on the Madison River watching Dubb fly fish. He was so determined to catch one, but unfortunately he only had a few nibbles.

He got a new net but he didn't get a chance to use it. Maybe next time he can fill his net.

Cooper and I sitting on a blanket while I read all my magazines and enjoyed the sunshine. Yellowstone is truely my "Heaven" on earth. We had a great Vacation and I can't wait to go back.

Much needed R & R

Dubb and I needed some R & R so we headed to our favorite place to relax Yellowstone. Saturday. We drove in the park and saw the Upper rim of Yellowstone.
 Gibbon Falls

 Gibbon Falls

We drove thru Lamar Valley and saw all the Bison they were snorting and rolling in the dust. I have never heard them be so loud. They are so huge, even the babies looked so big.

We stopped at this creek by the side of the road and looked at the clear water. It was so beautiful and peaceful makes you want to drop a line and fish all day.

We drove to Cooke City it was such a small mining town. I was dissapointed to not see the old Police car at the edge of town.

This statue was all made from metal it was so cool to see all of the twisted metal to make this old miner.

Mining cart

Mammoth Hot Springs so STINKY. I didn't want to stop so I took pictures as we drove.

Elk were laying right in town it was crazy to see them so close and not be scared of all the traffic.

On Sunday we drove to Ennis MT and Virginia City we had always heard of the famous "Boot Hill" so we wanted to see it. WHOA it was so tiny but neat to see the Dalton's grave (No relation) to the Dalton Gang.

William and Clara Dalton

There were 4 grave sites and they all said that they were hung in 1864. But We have no clue what they did to deserve to be hung.

Monday Dubb wanted to go Fly fishing, as we walked out of the trailer it was so cloudy and looked like rain as we headed into Yellowstone Park it was pouring rain. So we decided to go to Old Faithful and wait for the rain to quit.

Elk so close to the road I could have reached out and touched her.

Dubb put Coop under his sweatshirt to brace him from the rain. It was raining so hard, but only last for 10 minutes. Yeah for us.

We got to Fishing Bridge and this was who greeted us as we walked across the bridge. He just walked right down the middle of the bridge all the cars just had wait for him to make his way down the bridge on his way back to his herd.

Yellowstone River too bad all the fish have spawned up stream I was hoping to catch a peek at all the fish under Fishing Bridge.

Dubb fishing the Madison River, Coop and I sat in a lawn chair in the sun and enjoyed the view. I was a little scared their were 2 huge Bison that kept comming closer to where I sat, but finally laid down and enjoyed the sun as well as we did.

More pictures to come of our nice R&R ....heck who knows we may NEVER come home.

He was wearing a green cooler around his neck to keep cool before the pull.

 Hanging out before the pull

It was a fast but fun time in Terre Haute. We hope to make it back to the mid west again to pull with the Big Guys.
