What to do on a rainy Weekend ????

BE CRAFTY
This weekend we didn't go Camping because of the weather being crummy and rainy so I decided to craft.
I needed some Laundry room Love

I decorate my house different each month, I blame this on my Mother she was the same way and I love to make my house look cute and crafty.

Summer will it ever happen???
I will be ready for when ever it decides to come.

I guess it was OK that it rained all weekend and I got the chance to be crafty and stay indoors while the weather was dark and gloomy I made a little sunshine to bright up my house.

My Week in review

My week has been crazy lots of things to do and not time to blog about it.
My Sister and I went to the Miss Rodeo Ogden Queen Contest.
We had our favorite's and She won.
Miss Rodeo Ogden 2011
MaKenzie Maughan her name in lights, Congrats MaKenzie we can't wait for the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo.

My Sister and Step Mom Carol
We love the Queen Contest's
We have been going to the Queen Contest's since 1974 it's fun to look back and see all the Queen's from that long ago.

My Sister asked me to make her a "corn buddy". A bag filled with filed corn that you heat in the microwave to feet your feet toasty in bed.
My Nephew's wanted one too so I made them "manly" Camo ones for Easter!

Ya gotta love the camo, the boys love to hunt and love camo so hopefully they will like their "corn buddies"

I need a new craft to decorate our office at work and I thought of "May Flowers"
I made this cute craft for a whopping $1.00 yes that's right a BUCK. My kind of craft
I found the holder at my favorite Thrifty place. I made it look all worn out and added the "bloom" in vinyl.
Then I cut out the flowers on my scroll saw with Dubb's help, he thinks I will cut off my fingers. So when I say I'm going out to cut wood he usually will come and "supervise" me!
I think it will make our office look cute and crafty!

Bloom where your planted and enjoy life.
Now you can see why my blog has suffered. I'm super duper busy and with Summer coming on it will only get crazier!

Crafts, Bedroom Decor and Basketball

This what we have been doing this last past weekend
I wanted to make a banner I have seem tons of them on blogs and just love the way they look. Here is my first attempt at it I think it looks pretty cute. I hung it in of office to make the long days at work "happy"

Here is our TV stand and all the decorations I found some of my old pictures of Dubb and I as kiddies. So cute to look back and have the memories.

Dubb finally let me hang stuff up on the walls. I got a gift card to Tai Pan for Christmas and was ready to decorate, but he didn't want any holes in the walls so I found "command hooks" they are awesome and no holes in the walls.

We finally made it to Kyle and Kolt's Basketball games. We have been swamped with the Home Improvements and this was our last chance to go it was their final games.
Kolt had his game first at my old Junior high it was fun to see my old school.
Kolt is quite the little "scrapper" he will get right in there and take the ball away from the players. He is  learning to be a very aggressive player. Way to go after the ball Kolt!
Kolt taking the ball to the hoop

Are you calling a FOUL on me ???

Kyle shooting before his game!

Kyle is not as much of a "scrapper" as Kolt until today. My Sister and Brother in law told Kyle they would pay him five bucks if he would be aggressive and "foul out" he was well on this way to foul out until his coach yelled at Kyle. "NO MORE FOULS" Kyle listened to the coach and didn't get the big pay out!
It fun to go and be the cheering section for the boys. I remember my Mom yelling at the top of her lungs when we Rodeoed it was so embarrassing but on the other hand it was cool to have the support.

My 1st Crafty Tutorial

I just love to craft if you haven't noticed on my blog. I love to look at blogs that have tutorials and see how they make the cute craft stuff they make. I stole  I mean borrowed this idea from http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/ and just added my own flair.

Supplies you will need:

Frames I used wood $1.00 at Michael's

letters

Paint - paint brush

Scrap book paper

Modge podge

glitter

Paper plate

Hot Glue Gun

I first painted my frames black and my letter's purple. After the black paint was dried I added the green poka dots.
I then took the back piece of the frame that holds your picture in the frame and covered it in scrapbook paper.
I sprinkled my glitter on the plate
I have always have a hard time getting the glitter to stick to any things I did, so I took Mod Poge and painted the letters and then I layed the letter in the glitter.
TADAAAA. I love my glitter letters and all the glitter stuck on so good!
When the paint was all dry on the frames I took my palm sander and roughed them up. I love the worn out look.
Then it was time to assemble the frames together.
I hot glued the letters on the paper and then put them in the frames.

Dontcha just love them?
I double dog dare ya to make a set!

I threw it in the stink and proceeded to wash the stink out .....WRONG it shredded and still smelled. So I threw it in the dryer with "downey" dryer softener sheets. NO Go still stinks. I then just decided to stuck it up and craft and here is my latest crafty endeavour!

Crafty Weekend

I've been busy getting all of my craft projects done so I can start to craft for Halloween!

Gram's wooden stool
This was my grandma's stool I remember sitting at my kitchen counter and helping make cookies, wash dishes or what ever my grandma was doing. I love all the paint colors I remember all of the different kitchen colors she had painted over the years. It has screws that she has added to the legs to make them steady. Dubb doesn't think it looks like it's done but I love all the specks of paint all I did was put stain over it to make it look older. LOVE IT !!!

ruffle table runner
My 1st attempt at ruffles

I wanted to make a ruffle table runner to set all my holiday blocks on. I made this out of muslin I tea-stained it to make it look old. I was worried that the ruffles would be hard to do. They were so easy I think I will be making a lot more ruffles.

Autumn vinyl

More vinyl for Autumn. I love my cricket and all the fun stuff I can make with it.
