Dubb was away this weekend so I got to spread out my craft stuff and go to town! YIPPeeeee

Here is my September blocks. My favorite month because it's my Birthday month!

Chick flicks DVD night

I felt like a chick flick DVD night so I watched these 2 DVDs

Obsessed remind me so much of "Fatal Attraction" ..cuckoo chick that wants another women's man. But I have to say Beyonce "rock it" in the kick her butt scene I like a gal that can trash another gals LUNCH! Kudos to Miss JAY Z.

What can you say about Hannah Montana..cute show and I loved the music. I sang along to all the songs.

I give them a 2 thumbs up!

FUN FRIDAY

Today I decided I would go to the temple today. Our ward has a goal to do 938 endowments in a month. So each women had to do 5 names and the men had to do 10. I know what your thinking,
the MEN have to do 10 (yeah right) but the bishop has tons of confidence in our ward.

In fact the Harrisville 8th has been amazing with temple work. We had 93 people to a ward temple night President Watts said he has never seen a ward with that many people for a session.

Ogden Temple

So I started out at "my temple" the Ogden temple it feels like home when I go there, and it always will that is the temple I took out my endowments in and I have tons of people in my ward that work there so I always see a friendly face.

Then I decided I would go to the Salt lake Temple "I stand all amazed" when I look at this temple and the hard work the saints had to endure to make this temple happen.

Salt Lake Temple

I have been to the Salt Lake Temple at Christmas to take the youth to the lights and then Dubb has taken me there on a date night when there was a ton of snow and tons of people to see the lights.

But to go to the Temple as a Patron WOW. It was the coolest. It was everything I had thought it would be and more, to be in the Temple with that many saints the spirit was so strong. It made the walk thru all the "hecklers" outside the temple possible.

Movie Night

My sister and I had a girl's night out. We ate at El matador(which was the best thing of the night) and then she took me to the "Junction" for the DUMBEST,STUPIDEST movie evah! The Time Traveler's Wife I was like come on Seriously this guy next to me was cryin his eyes out and so was my sista! The movie ended and the guy next to me "wife" hated the show too we high-fived each other and said what a STUPID movie and left the theater MAD that I saw that show and spent $8.00 bucks to do so! I give it 10 THUMBS down!

Dubb's Handy Project

Dubb has been busy making our 4wheeler/snowmobile trailer look "almost" brand new. He sandblasted the trailer and then when the rain let up today he got to paint it. I'm so glad for a handy hubby that can do things to save us $$$.

Me Day

First stop was to get my haircut I went to Layton Hills Mall to Grass Roots and just walked in and gave the gal a pic and said make me look like her and I have to say ASHLEY you ROCK! She was so cute and I have to say I love the cut. My hair is naturally "Fro-baby thick horsehair" and she did a awesome job! I just love me day's!

ICE BLOCKING

We went Ice Blocking with the YW for our activity is was tons of fun. For those of you who are new to Ice Blocking this is the sceniro. You get a HUGE block of ice, towel and have lots of courage. You set the block down on the biggest hill you can find, set your towel on top of the ice and jump on and down you go! Screaming bloody murder down the hill. If your lucky enough to stay on the block you make it down the hill. I wasn't so lucky I fell off and rolled all the way down the hill. FUN TIMES I was so dizzy I had to get lay there and hope that the world would stop spinning the things I do for my YW! ****I heart them****

Urban Decay

My sister told me about this eye shadow primer from Urban Decay and I have to say I was a bit skeptical about it. I have used eye shadow primer before with no luck by noon no makeup on my oily lids. I used Urban Decay and man it so works stays on all day. I "heart" Urban Decay!

SALSA

ahhhhhhhh Salsa my friend... As you can see my pantry is nicely stocked with 16 jars of salsa freshly made from my beautiful garden.

As soon as dubb got home he ate half a jar. This is only batch one of many to come with all the tomatoes and peppers I planted.

Here is my fabulous recipe

1 onion chopped

2 cloves of garlic

2-4 green peppers

8-10 jalapeno peppers or 45 like we like

1tbs salt

1tsp cumin

1tsp oregano

1/4 c. dark cider vinegar

sprinkle of cayenne pepper and garlic powder

cook for 2 hours then add 1/4 c sugar fill jars and then Process in a hot water bath for 30 minutes

ENJOY

There it is my "first" red tomato from my garden, So of course this means BLT's baby.

Yummy greasy bacon ......oh man !!

Soft squishy white bread ....

Pure Heaven nothing better than a home grown tomato's from my own garden, all my hard work has finally paid off !

Fun Times with my Sister

My sister wanted to make a chunky watch and charms to add to our necklaces and let me tell ya treasure beads is the place for beads. They have so many beads and they are so helpful. We got to learn how to apply the beads to head pins and use jump rings. Totally fun!

The is was off to the mall my sister wanted to get a MAC Cosmetic make over

Wow those gal's at the MAC counter know how to do a face, Our makeup artist was Lena at Macy's. She was patient with all our questions that we both had. My sister looked amazing when she was done. I feel like I need a makeover now.

We made charms until our fingers hurt, they look so cute we can't wait to show off our handy work!
