We flew into Indianapolis Indiana on our way to Terre Haute  for a truck pull. It was great to do a little sight seeing in the big city. We first drove by the Speedway. It was HUGE Track. The roads and building around there were packed with auto shops. I would love to go to a NASCAR race there.

We drove to Terre Haute Indiana , Wow these guys know how to host a awesome pull Scheid Diesel Extravaganza. Ken has always wanted to pull with the big guys from the Mid West. He got his chance to pull with the Big Boys. These guys are serious about pulling, they pull 2 to 3 times a week. Crazy busy.

 Shane Kellogg's Truck

Farm Tractors lined up as far as the eye can see.

These next picture's are all the "RED NECK" ohhh boy they were crazy.

Riding around with HUGE speakers and country music blasting.
Girls with their "Short" skirts and boots.

Checkout the guy with the "mullet hat" it was a baseball hat with mullet hair attached. You Gotta love the Red Neck sleveless shirts. Larry The Cable Guy would be in Heaven.
Yes he is drinkin MOONSHINE from a Mason jar.

Ken getting ready for the pull. On Friday night he placed 7th out of 11 trucks. He had a hard time getting traction in the clay.
He was wearing a green cooler around his neck to keep cool before the pull.

Waiting in line before the pull

 Hanging out before the pull

It was a fast but fun time in Terre Haute. We hope to make it back to the mid west again to pull with the Big Guys.

Rock Springs WY Truck Pulls-2011

We got to go to the "BIG SHOW" in Rock Springs WY. They have a huge fair and the Truck Pulls, brought a bunch of Trucks from all over the US.  Here is "Double Overtime" from Indiana. They pulled in Michigan and drove 30 hours to Rock Springs to pull. They want Ken to come to Bowling Green, OH to pull against the big guys.
Double Overtime

Black Ice came from Wisconsin to pull these guys are very dedicated to their sport.
We even got to see Semi's Pull they drove down the truck tooting their horn the whole way.

Our Friend Nat pulled and took 4th place in her division

Dubb and Pete checking out the track. Pete is the oldest or more "seasoned" puller is the the rip ol age of 76 and he loves to pull with the guys.

Shae, Nat and Steve's wife cheering on Ken and 2 Wild Diesel

Ken was concerned that the altitude in Rock Springs would make it a tough pull, he had a little trouble getting the Turbo to spool at first then watch the black smoke go he won his division with a pull of 310.
He was pretty pumped to win over the big guys from Indiana and Wisconsin. He is on his way to the big time.

Elko Nevada

Our Friend Scooby's Truck
He got beat in his pull by 2 feet.

This was a cool looking truck it reminded me of Grave Digger.

Lacey pulling Wild Diesel has done all the work on her truck to get it ready to pull. She placed 2nd in her division.

2 Wild Diesel getting ready to pull
On our drive home we decided to stop and see the Bonneville Salt Flats. We have drove past them a bunch of times but never stopped so it was fun to see the flats up close.
You can see where people have drove on the flats.

Our Family

Cooper would try to sniff the ground and "lick" it needless to say he needed a HUGE drink of water after we got back to the truck.

We are off to Rock Springs next weekend for the NADA Pulls we are headed to the Big time.

Grey's River -Afton Truck Pulls 2011

This weekend we camped at a new "favorite place" the Grey's River in Alpine Wyoming. Ken's Brother Eric and his wife Penny invited us to go camping before the Truck Pulls in Afton Wyoming.

The view from our trailer

Our Camp

The trail where 3 Deer ran thru camp and I missed all of them

The "guys" getting the gun ready to shoot

Wild flowers were everywhere the mountain was a sea of yellow

Eric teaching me to shoot a 22 long rifle pistol. The last time I tried my hand at shooting I nearly shot Dubb, not good
so it was good to feel safe with a real marksman teaching me all the safety things about guns. It took me 100+ rounds but I finally hit the can.

Darla was a natural at shooting she hit the can on her 1st and 2nd shots.

We went to the Bar J Wranglers on Friday night.

If you haven't been there I would really recommend it they are funny and I love the music and food.

On Saturday it was off to Afton Wyoming to the Truck Pulls
Ken took 3rd the elevation made the Diesel's not happy. So This is a learning experience to get 2Wild Diesel all programmed in when he pulls at higher elevations and next time. We hope he takes
1st.

2Wild Diesel 3rd in Afton Wyoming

It was a great weekend with friends. We are so lucky to be invited to hangout with these guys they make us feel like family.
