Girls Camp 2009

Girls Camp 2009 .... WOW is all I can say!
I have been so touched by these Girls.
As I prepared for Camp I prayed that they would feel the spirit and become very close friends and it happened.

The girls were so fun and very up lifting to me.
I have to tell you it was the most physically exhausting week of my life but the most rewarding.
These girls are so strong and made me feel so awesome.

We started Monday June 1st with Sister Dalton our Stake was invited to "A Banner is Unfurled" We witnessed the Virtue Flag be raised at Heber Valley Camp. It was pouring rain and Sister Dalton was so inspiring! She incourage the girls to be 100% by Praying morning and Night, Read the Book of Mormon for at least 5 minutes a day and to always Smile.

Here is our Camp Hosts Brother and Sister Ogden and Brother and Sister Austin is was like having 2 sets of grand parents to help us all week long they are called as Missionary's for 6 months and they camp in RV's for the whole 6 months. We were able to help Sister Ogden on a serve project. We split wood and stacked it so we could all have a HUGE camp fires at night.

The Music Committee getting us ready for the Fireside for Sister Jones on Thursday Night.

Challenge Course. The girls went to a challenge course were is challenges them both Physically and spiritually. They faced fear of heights when they had to climb up to the zip line. And then jump off. They were all scared at first but as they cheered each other on they all felt so close together.

We all got to get together after the challenge course and process the new feelings they had after the challenge course.

We got to go the the lake and go Canoeing. This activity was for the girls to enjoy all of God's creations for us and how we can enjoy. After the girls got out on the lake they would sound a bull horn and they had to stop paddling and be silent for 2 minutes and reflect on all of God's creations.

Our Fearless Leader's

Thunder and lighting stop the girls from going out on the Lake on Tuesday but we made up for it on Thurs day. Kenna and Katie with the sad faces.

This was our cabin we stayed at (Just kidding) 2300 square feet it has a basketball court, swimming pool and sauna and don't forget the movie theater. I want this to be my "summer Home.

Preparing for our skit.

I felt so many emotions this week and these girls are so special to me. I felt a unity for our ward that I will never forget. As we played and goofed off we bonded like no other. These girls will be able to have this experience for the rest of their lives and I'm sure of one thing. Our Father lives and loves these girls so much . My life is changed forever and I can't wait for the journey. Thanks for all the Help of my leaders words can not express the love I have for you.

What a great experience. I loved girls camp when I was younger and it was so fun and uplifting. It looks like everyone had a great time. You are so awesome Dawnelle.

Wow, you are fast! I am so behind on posting pictures. It has been a rough recovery from our trip to CA, girls camp, and working but hopefully soon... Anyway, just wanted to say that you were awesome and such an example at camp. You are such a good Young Womens President. You make the girls feel special and make them laugh ALL THE TIME! I wish I could be more like that! Love the pics too... especially the one fearless leader pic. I look like a real *winner*
