My 2011 Pioneer Week in review.....

My Pioneer week all started on Weds July 20th I broke off one of my molars(OUCH) and spent the morning at the dentist. Then it was off to http://www.missrodeoutah.org/ contest. This is a total tradtion with me and my sister. We have been going to the contest since 1974! Weds was Horsemanship they have 13 gals that are trying out for MRU. They did awesome. I have so many favorites it's hard to just pick one to win! Then I had a not so fun night I got to spend the night at INSTACARE not fun. I'm having to deal with kidney stones and it's not my first time at this rodeo grrrrrrrrr! I dont have time for this!

Thurs July 20th We had tickets to a Luncheon at the Ogden Marriot it was to honor Desiree Cooper-Larsen and Gina Blonquist Black into the MRU Hall of fame. I remember both these gals winning MRU.

Fri July 21st MRU speeches. The contestants had to do a speech about UTAH and boy they were so good. I learned so much about the girls personalities. Way to go Girls!

Sat July 22nd Silent Auction & Fashion Show. I bid on some Western Jewerly and My Sister bid on a Western Quilt and Pillows and we both lost ( I guess we don't have deep pockets). Then it was off to the FASHION SHOW ......Boy the gals changed outfits tons of times and still looked pretty as ever!
Horsemanship (free-style) was before the Rodeo. The girls had to make up their own pattern. They had 2 minutes to show off their talents.

Mon July 25th Tonight is the crowning of MRU 2011 at the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. I can't pick who it will be these girls are amazing and will represent UTAH proud. I will post who wins.
