Denver Truck Pull 2014

Ken was invited to go to a Truck Pull in Denver Colorado and he can't go without his "Pit Crew" so off we went to Denver. When we pulled in to Denver the weather was looking bad and it started to sprinkle so we all went into the trailer and then it started to "Down Pour". We thought if we drive all this way and they cancel the pull due to rain. That is really going to stink. They decided to extend the time of the start by an hour and the weather decided to corporate. There was so much mud and water on the track it took 2 hours just to get the track ready for them to pull.
Working the track

Huge standing water all over the track we had mud caked on our shoes it was bad.

ATS Diesel was the sponsor and we got to go view their shop. WOW these guys know the Diesel Market and have a HUGE shop. It was awesome to see.

Ken got a new paint job this year. It looks so good

Ken won his pull and the Truck ran great. He was slipping and sliding but the motor ran strong. We stayed the night at the rodeo grounds and got to bed at 2 am. We were sleeping so good until someone started to pound on the trailer door at 6 am telling us that we had a hour to leave. We weren't going to drive home all in one day but we didn't have a choice.

We stopped at this rest stop in Wyoming 8640 elevation it is the highest elevation on interstate 80

This is a monument of the person who built the Lincoln Memorial highway

Lincoln Memorial Monument

The had a monument of the first telephone wire to be installed along the highway

We saw tons of antelope on the drive. They were all over the land. I was shocked that we didn't see more road kill. They must of learned to stay off the roads.

As we walked thru the parking lot I saw this "beauty" Her name was Fancy Pants she was so cute and I was dying to see inside but the owners were not around.

I would love to fix up a cute trailer like this and have a "miss fancy pants" of my own.
