27th Anniversary

27th Anniversary. Yes, We have been married for that long It seems like yesterday that I married Dubb.
We always make sure to take time and celebrate our
Anniversary and I'm so glad that we do. This year after My Birthday in Pendleton. We stayed in Caldwell and traveled around to different places.  We first went to Idaho City. They said it was a "ghost town". So off we went. It was a fun drive and pretty up the canyon. We got to the town and I begged Dubb to get a old time picture. He finally said YES. I dragged him into the shop and here is the current Picture of us.
Dubb has upset when he saw the picture. He said, "You didn't Smile" You wanted this picture to look like a wedding picture and you didn't smile what the heck?. I told him to be serious and NOT Smile, he kept shaking his head and saying I can't believe you didn't smile. It makes me giggle every time I look at it. We looked at a few shops and Dubb loved this saying "Food has replaced sex in my life... Now I can't even get into my own pants! We giggled at all of the sayings.

We went to the Pioneer Cemetery. We loved to look at the headstones and see when and  how they died. This was a Huge Cemetery in the Mountains. But what was so interesting was that they had so many graves that were marked as Unknown. It makes me feel sad that they don't know who these people are. It was separated into groups. Catholics, Mason's and Chinese. They all had their own sections but were not marked as such.

I loved these grave markers. It reminded me of baby carriages.

This grave was marked by a wooden stake with the initials JT and that was it.

This was a one of the graves that was marked as Unknown but put into such a pretty section.

This was a Catholic grave marker. But didn't have a cross on it.

Moss covered the graves and markers. It was so pretty and green.

They had lost all of their 4 kids in one day. It makes me wonder what happened. I know everyone has a past and a story and I would love to know each time I go into any Pioneer Cemetery.

We drove over to McCall Idaho it was so pretty and Dubb and I couldn't believe how it reminded us of Bar Harbor Maine. All of the sail boats in the harbor. It was defiantly a relaxing and beautiful place.

 Boats out in the harbor

Seaside walk way. So many people were walking around and loving the beautiful weather.

So glad the only Bears we saw were the ones "bronzed". It was a great Birthday and Anniversary celebration. Thanks Dubb for the great weekend.
