My Birthday In Pendleton Oregon 2013

I'm one lucky gal to be married to Dubb. He always plans a awesome Birthday get away. This year I hit the Jack Pot. He made plans to go to the Pendleton Round Up in Oregon. We drove to Caldwell Idaho and stayed in a nice RV Park. On My Birthday we drove to Pendleton Oregon. It was a long drive but so pretty and green.

We started our Day at the Pendleton Woolen Mills. They take the wool and spin into these rolls of yarn ready to send to the machines to start the weaving.

These machines are all computerized and make all of the difficult patterns.
Blankets coming off the weaving machine

This was Dubb's favorite blanket pattern. We wanted to buy a blanket, but the one we wanted was $300.00. So we passed.

Weaving so fast, never making a mistake.

Pendleton wears. They make so many different items.

 Rolls of blankets

This is were they check for loose threads, there was a lady that sat there all day and looked at the bolt of blankets. I would have been so dizzy.

Then we drove to down town Pendleton to the Round Up Stadium.

 Let er BUCK statue.

Dodge Ram Dubb wants to build a flat bed like the one on this Dodge.

 Indian Village

I loved all the different Teepee's for all the different Indian tribes. They were all staying the night  in the Teepee's for the Round Up Week.

Justin Sports Medicine Doctor's they take good care of the Cowboys and Cowgirls.

Indian Village Teepee's as far as the eye can see.

They do a Rodeo for the special needs kids of Pendleton. It was awesome to see how excited the kids get to be part of the rodeo.

Here are our seats. Yes that's the bucking chutes right in front. Best seats in the house. I was so PUMPED up to be that close to the rodeo action.

 Pendleton 2013

As we got seated I looked up and look who was getting ready to Bareback but Bobby Mote. I kept telling Dubb I want to get a good picture of him and Dubb said, "Yell his name and ask for a picture" So I did thinking he would say NO. But he turned and adjusted his hat and smiled. He was so nice.

Bobby getting ready for his ride. He placed 3rd at Pendleton.

As I glanced at the program I squealed TUFF COOPER was team roping. He is my favorite Roper. In fact that's who I named My Poodle Cooper after.

 Tuff Cooper

 Mr. All Around Trevor Brazile

I loved the Pick up Men and their "woolly" chaps. It was so Hot that day and they worked their "wrangler butts off".

Next it was BULLS and look who was in front of me Mr. Shane Proctor. I just yelled his name and he smiled and let me take his picture. These Cowboys are so nice. I was in heaven to be that close to the action and see these World Champions in action.

They had all of the different tribes in Oregon come out to the arena. They were dressed in their native costumes and danced.

Look at all of the beautiful costumes it was a beautiful and colorful site.

One of the Chief's from the tribes.

Here are the oldest members of the tribes.

This guy would yell and chant as he rode in the arena. It was awesome to see all the different costumes and how they ride bareback and never even fall off, now that's talent.

Her beaded outfit was so pretty and the horse bridle was all beaded. These Indians have such a talent in their bead work.

I couldn't have asked for a better Birthday. Thanks Dubb you rock.
Love your Guts.
